Once your coin counter maxes out, you will earn 1 blue gold. Unlike normal gold, blue gold keeps going up after the counter hits 99999. You can check your balance in the shop. Blue gold can be used to purchase upgrades costing normal gold, you will receive the difference in normal gold back.
